The Process
YourDean.com has two options available to clients. Choose one after reading the descriptions below and send me your essay [and payment].Option 1
A thorough review of your statement of purpose includes:- an initial telephone conversation to discuss your essay, the programs to which you are applying and your graduate school objectives
- within 48 hours the statement of purpose will be emailed to you with suggestions for changes incorporated into your essay using MSWord Track Changes
- a second telephone conversation to discuss the initial editorial suggestions in your essay to be certain that you are satisfied with the revised essay, to insure that the essays to all the schools to which you are applying are clearly differentiated, and to determine if you are answering the questions you are being asked ...this on the assumption that one size does not fit all
If further editing and advice are needed we will continue to work together until the essay is right.
The cost for this option is $199 for your first essay.
Option 2
A quick review of your essay to decide whether it is good to go. Does it pass the sniff test or does it still need restructuring and refinement to improve its impact? This option includes:- a review of the essay for clarity and effectiveness in answering the question[s] it addresses
- an assessment of structure, clarity, grammar and spelling
- 48 hour turnaround
This close reading by an objective outsider [me] will confirm whether what you have is good to go. It is the review that your roommate, parent or aunt can't or won't provide. I will call you for a brief conversation after returning your essay.
The cost of this option is $49; it is applicable toward the full editing fee if you decide, after we have spoken, that you want to work with me to improve your essay.
